MPA seeking to raise profile nationally and regionally!

MID PENNINE Arts has announced that it has appointed Pendle-based marketing and PR business BrandSpankin’ to promote its work both regionally and nationally.

The arts charity has recently embarked upon an ambitious programme of contemporary arts entitled “Contemporary Heritage” and has drafted in PR expertise in order to nationally promote Pennine Lancashire as an “arts destination”. Additionally, Mid Pennine Arts is determined to raise its profile across the region, raising awareness of its work in areas such as visual arts, creative learning and public realm.

Commenting on the appointment, Mid Pennine Arts Business Director Rob Carder, said: “In BrandSpankin’ we have appointed a Pennine Lancashire-based business that has a genuine commitment to the arts. Their media relations experience will be invaluable in building national awareness of who we are and what we do, as we continue to bring art, people and places together to transform perceptions and change lives.”

BrandSpankin’s Managing Director, Julian Jordan added: “We are delighted to be working with Mid Pennine Arts, as we share their commitment to transform perceptions of Pennine Lancashire. The launch of “Contemporary Heritage” places cutting edge contemporary art in completely new contexts and settings – and we’re determined to see it and Mid Pennine Arts become recognised nationally. Their exemplary work means that art previously only available in urban centres can now be seen against the unrivalled beauty of a Pennine Lancashire backdrop.”

The recent launch of “Contemporary Heritage” has seen Mid Pennine Arts link up with a series of heritage venues across Pennine Lancashire. The first of these projects is entitled “Not Forgotten” featuring a series of installations at Burnley’s Towneley Hall by internationally renowned contemporary artist Geraldine Pilgrim.
